Chapter 15 She Gives Him a Different Feeling
"Mr. Huo, what do you mean by telling the truth? Every word I've said is true. As for going to the hospital, I don't need to. People like me, born into a poor background, aren't that delicate. My leg feels much better now, I can drive myself home. Goodbye!" Lin Banxia cautiously and carefully scanned the man's deep eyes, then tugged at the corners of her mouth to force a smile as she spoke.
But she was terrified that her guilty demeanor would once again be seen through by this man.
"My grandmother seems very concerned about your injury. If I don't take you to the hospital for a checkup, I'm afraid I won't be able to give her a proper explanation." Before Huo Yanting finished speaking, the cigarette between his thumb and index finger was flicked straight out the window. The engine roared to life, and the black Bentley shot out from the gilded gates of the Huo Family mansion.
Lin Banxia's face turned pale with fright. She bit her lip tightly, lowered her eyelids, and her eyes darted about uneasily.
What should she do?
She was going to be entangled with this Huo Yanting—how could she get rid of him?
He was deliberately making things difficult for her, demanding she tell the truth. This man was truly terrifying.
She'd thought she could trick everyone and that her acting was convincing enough.
Yet everything had been seen through by Huo Yanting, and her immature tricks probably weren't even worth noting in his eyes.
