Chapter 6: The Cousin is a Schemer
Lu Huan Ning looked gratefully and smugly at Huo Qinglin's retreating figure. Watching his tall and upright silhouette, her heart couldn't stop pounding.
Lin Banxia, that idiot, was born with such beautiful eyes, but still ended up being toyed around by her, spinning in circles like a pitiable fool.
Thinking of Huo Qinglin's affection for herself and then looking at Lin Banxia, this self-righteous moron, Lu Huan Ning felt slightly better inside.
"Cousin, see? You spoke recklessly, and Brother-in-law left in anger. Could you please remember not to fabricate nonsense in the future?" Lu Huan Ning lightly scolded Lin Banxia, blaming her for saying the wrong thing.
Lin Banxia was so angry inside that she wanted to tear her mouth apart, yet her face remained calm and emotionless. She smiled faintly and said, "Cousin, what do you think of my fiancé?"
Just moments ago, Lu Huan Ning was still smug, thinking Lin Banxia knew nothing and was just a pitiful fool. But now, with this question, Lu Huan Ning was momentarily shocked.
"What do you mean? Cousin, you know best whether Brother-in-law is good or not. I've barely spent much time with him," Lu Huan Ning quickly feigned innocence. Her sharp, clever eyes, however, scrutinized Lin Banxia, trying to gauge her reaction.
Lin Banxia let out two dry laughs: "You're right. No one knows better than me what kind of person Qing Lin is."
Hearing this, Lu Huan Ning secretly breathed a sigh of relief. She leaned forward enthusiastically, grabbing one of Lin Banxia's hands and said, "Alright, Cousin, stop overthinking. Let's go inside together."
