Chapter 334 - 332: A Choice He Choose
Chapter 332: A Choice He Choose
Yin straightens his back and releases all the pent up emotions he’s been trying to surpass. "Ah Si, don’t choose them."
But just as he expected, the man didn’t respond. A cold smile appeared on his lips.
Isn’t it already what he understood even from the start? Ah Si will never choose him— he knew it, but hearing no answer from him was like the final hope inside his heart shattered.
A heart wrecking pain enveloped his heart. It was like someone was twisting it so painfully that even breathing lightly became so painful.
His face devoid any emotions— even his eyes had nothing. In the next second, a large amount of hidden dark energy starts pouring out from his body. The restriction that the Judge put on him glowed and the moment that he tried to break that spell, an indescribable pain rushed on his body.
He gritted his teeth, enduring every pain that hurt than stabbing him a thousand times. His hand turned clench and the corner of his lips had a trace of blood. Every part of his body screamed pain but he continued to endure it tightly.
He saw No. 444’s eyes widen. "Ah Yin, no! Forcing to break from the restriction will damage your body even more! Your body cannot take the power!"
He didn’t listen.
What’s the use anyway? He won’t listen to him too so why should he?
His eyes revealed cruelty. It was as if he went back to the devil who was known to kill and destroy everything around him. He was developed by the thick dark energy and the runes of the restriction in his body glowed fiercely, as if it was clashing wildly inside his body.
"No! We cannot standby in this situation! We have to take advantage of his momentary weakness and finish him quickly!"
When Si heard those words, the expression on his face changed and he instinctively stopped them. "Senior—"
Unfortunately, they knew his intentions so they would certainly not agree to this request.
"No. 444, you must step away. We won’t listen to any of your words."
"Seniors, please believe me. He will not hurt anybody. He promised me—"
"A devil’s words cannot be trusted." A senior interrupted him. "Don’t you understand? While here you are working yourself, he was secretly doing wicked behind your back! Just that was enough to prove that he cannot be trusted! You are just being fooled!"
He tightened his grip on his sword. "I...." But he could not say anything to refute. The truth was seen in front of them and even the devil admitted it himself. What else can he use to make excuses?
But can he just really let them hurt Yin?
"Why are you hesitating to choose? If you let him become a devil again, he will create havoc on humans! The balance in this world will break! You are a grim reaper. It is your responsibility to do whatever it takes to protect the world!" Every word that they spouted was like a cold water splashing on his face, making him face the truth that he wanted to evade.
Si could feel how his heart felt like turning into pieces. It was no longer the beat that made him feel alive but the pain inside him was breaking him without mercy.
"Guard him."
"!!!" He raised his head in disbelief. "Senior?!"
"Since you cannot choose what is right, then you no longer have any right. We’ll choose for you." and before he could react, two powerful seniors quickly went side by side to him.
"Wait, Senior—"
"Everyone, kill him!" His words were no longer heard because everyone began the battle again. He wanted to move yet the next second, a golden chain suddenly enveloped his arms.
His eyes widened in disbelief and saw a senior grim reaper tying him with a solemn face. "No. 444, just stay here and let others end this."
"But—"
"Look carefully!" The other senior snapped at him. "Look at the devil you trusted! He’s not just killing the world but also everyone! He’s destroying everything!"
And truth to his words, he saw Yin fight with grim reapers. Due to the restriction on his body and he was even forcibly breaking it, his strength isn’t big, especially that the grim reapers he’s facing are far much stronger than him, not to mention that there are several of them he must guard against.
Even so, he successfully counterattacked and even managed to injure them.
His jaw clenched. This is the first time that an emotion called hatred starts to fill inside his heart.
He did not hate the grim reapers who were doing their responsibility... not the devil— he could not bear to. What he hated was how fate turned out this way. Was it supposed to be okay? He promised him. He will help him and they trust each other.
What he was doing was certainly not just for his kindness but also for him. He wanted to accumulate merits faster so he could fulfill his wish, to see the man back in his glory— proud as he was supposed to be.
Why did their fate decide to turn their end like this?
"Senior!" He was brought back to reality when he heard the anxious cry from the senior beside him. And he saw right in front of his eyes how Yin’s fingers turned into sharp claws and didn’t hesitate to stab it right to the grim reaper near him.
His body froze.
He saw how the situation suddenly tilted towards Yin. His body grew stronger and faster as he was able to keep up with the fierce fight and counterattack more.
"Senior, we need to help them!" Seeing the dire situation, the two seniors became restless beside him. They looked at each other and the other one untied him.
"No. 444, I hope you can see the truth of what’s happening in front of you. Choose the right thing because you are a grim reaper." Afterwards, they no longer care as they quickly rush towards the right to help.
He remained standing, full of coldness and helplessness.
There’s a war surrounding him but he felt like he was locked in a small circle. He could not bear to move because he knew that he must choose now. He didn’t want to.
For the first time, he suddenly felt hesitant to choose what he’s been choosing ever since again.
He stared at Yin. That face was something that he no longer knew. Even with an indifferent face, his eyes always showed an emotion that he could understand. He understood that there was no longer him now.
Is it really his fault? Is it wrong to choose where his heart desires to choose?
His grip on his sword tightened.
He needs to choose now.
Sensing an answer inside his heart, he became determined... yet his heart turned cold.
