Bai Ling was born to be a manipulator. He manipulated his Mother to solely focus on him and also made him suffer again and again.
Day by day, he watched his own Mother taking care of Bai Ling like his real son and he watched himself getting drowned by depression and hopelessness.
Until such time, their Mother finally told them everything. It turns out that she had an affair with the only Master of Cao Family. They had a relationship in the past and his father promised his Mother that they will be together sooner so his Mom wants themselves to be ready to live a life as a wealthy family.
His Mother even wants him to learn and be better than the legitimate son so he would be noticed by his father to secure their position in that family.
Unfortunately, her plans were abruptly failing due to him.
As time goes by, his Mother begins to abuse him harsher and brutal to the point that she shouted at him, saying she wished he was never her son and hopefully it was Bai Ling instead.
