Chapter 230: Panic And Unease
After lying on the bed for a while, Feng Zhexuan knew he had to get back to work. He slid his arm out from under her head gently, placing a pillow in its place. He kissed her forehead and left the bed without waking her up.
When he stepped out of the bedroom, he found Wei Zheming reading documents on the couch.
Wei Zheming looked up and asked, "Do you need someone to clean up the bedroom?"
Feng Zhexuan shot him a glance and said, "I was just napping. My wife is still asleep, keep your voice down."
"Oh, I thought you were busy doing something with your wife when you didn’t come out for the meeting," Wei Zheming teased.
Ignoring the remark, Feng Zhexuan asked him instead, "Is everyone waiting for me?"
"I told them there was an emergency and delayed the meeting for an hour. We have 27 minutes left," Wei Zheming replied while checking his watch.
"Good. Notify everyone to start the meeting in ten minutes," Feng Zhexuan said as he put on his tie, belt and suit jacket.
With him feeling refreshed, his work’s efficiency increased drastically. The delayed meeting ended an hour earlier than usual with a good result.
