After waiting for a moment, the voice she wanted to hear was not heard on the other end of the phone. Instead, an unfamiliar man’s voice came, "I’m sorry, you got the wrong number."
Su Xueli’s mind went blank as she stared at her phone in shock. She checked the number and was sure that it was the number her father had given her.
"Isn’t this Feng Zhexuan’s phone number?" Su Xueli asked.
"Miss, I’m a detective in the police’s crime department. May I ask how you got my number?"
The moment she heard his words, Su Xueli’s body turned cold and her face turned pale. She had once drugged Feng Zhexuan, which was a crime. With guilt weighing on her, the police were the last people she wanted to deal with.
Due to panic, she ended the call abruptly. Moments later, her phone rang with the detective’s number displayed on the screen.
She rejected the call and blocked the number, praying that he would leave her alone. But her hasty actions only piqued the detective’s interest, prompting him to investigate her phone number.
Meanwhile, back at the President’s office, Feng Zhexuan’s phone rang. Seeing the caller ID, he answered with a smile, "Cousin, it’s rare for you to call. What’s up?"
"Ah Xuan, did you give my number to random women again?" He Haoran asked with a sigh.
Feng Zhexuan chuckled when he heard his cousin’s sigh and asked, "Did someone call you?"
"Yes, a woman named Su Xueli. She addressed you quite familiarly."
