Feng Zhexuan tapped his fingers on the steering wheel and muttered in a low voice, "It seems that I need to see Grandpa Jin and ask him to help me restore my memory as soon as possible."
After driving for a long time, Feng Zhexuan didn’t drive back to his house. Instead, he went to Xing Xiayan’s house to look for the recorder. It took him nearly two hours before he discovered a small recorder hidden behind the vent cover.
He tore off the tape on the plastic bag and took out the small recorder. The recorder is old and no longer manufactured. He gripped the recorder tightly, slipped it into his pocket, and put the vent cover back in its place.
After making sure everything was normal, he left Xing Xiayan’s house and drove to his villa in the suburbs.
When he came back, it was already past midnight. At first, he thought his wife must be sleeping. But when he walked to his bedroom, he saw a ray of light coming from the gap under the door.
He frowned and opened the door gently. As soon as he entered the bedroom, he saw his wife sleeping on the sofa. There is a basket of bread and a bowl of salad on the table.
He walked over and knelt down in front of his wife, finally feeling relieved. He tried to kiss his wife, but he stopped when he realized that he was covered in dust and blood.
"I should take a shower first," he said softly.
