Chapter 77: Joke
Flesh and blood littered the surroundings. Pile Driver was designed to detonate 10-meter Snow Wolf Alphas. Against a human barely 2 meters, it was overkill of the highest order. Yet Elian still intentionally used his most imposing weapon.
A familiar cold presence appeared behind him, his only other ally in this entire floor. He turned around and noticed Bianca with her back to him. She scanned for new threats.
And here I thought you would scold me for what I did. You don’t mind?
Though he said nothing aloud, Bianca’s rebuke came swiftly.
"My Weapon, we are going to be spending the rest of our lives together. In that context, throwing a fit over every little thing that you do is simply a waste of time. Besides, I kind of liked it."
"Oh? You did?"
Elian gently turned Bianca to face him. Her cheeks were bright red, but she didn’t look away.
"Yes. I liked it very much. I am not a saint that can forgive all of them for what they did to me 50 years ago. Quite honestly, I hate them. I want to get back at everyone who made me suffer... And I want you to help me. So yes! I like your brutality just now."
Bianca then lowered the buttstock of her rifle to the ground as she held her arm awkwardly.
"I know that I’m not normal, Elian. I’m petty, calculating, psychotic, and I’ve got trust issues the size of a continent," she said in a self-deprecating tone. "I held back for your sake, but you wouldn’t listen. Now I am coming for your heart. Y-You adore me, right?"
Without a word the living weapon nodded.
