Chapter 29: Personal
A bone-chilling scream rang out. Despite her immense size, the Red Swarm Tyrant looked small. She crouched low all ten legs folded beneath her. Streaks of black tears ran down her cheeks. In less than half an hour, she lost everything. Yet two people couldn't care any less.
"Fufu, her despair is absolutely delightful. Well done my weapon. I am well pleased."
"Thank you for the assist, Bianca. If those pheromones rang out, the ants might have moved differently."
Stabbing his greatsword into the ground, the vast sea of Living Metal rushed toward Elian's armor and weapon. The sight made no sense, but like a vortex, the raging waves of black fluids melded with the lone knight. His shiny black armor quickly lost its luster as it turned matte black.
"Oh please, I hardly did anything. Your use of Living Metal completely destroys any sense of balance. You not only turned it into a weapon but a force of nature"
"Well, I needed to be in touch with Living Metal to give it commands, so I turned it into a negligible puddle. Who knew it would work so well, spending days killing Ants made me sure they would ignore it."
"Indeed, it is terrifying to think that all of this was something you came up just a while ago," Bianca confessed in admiration.
When the ground finally dried out, not even a single corpse remained. Crushed and devoured by Living Metal the queen couldn't mourn anything even if she wanted to.
"Unforgivable."
"Get ready Elian, here she comes. She has more mana in her body. It feels like a title."
