Chapter 48: Nan Zhuoyuan Arrives
Nan Qingqing picked up her phone with composure and handed it to Meng Yi, her smile filled with charm.
"Meng Yi, how could I possibly deceive you? Look, my big brother is calling me, or you can ask him directly."
Meng Yi met those candid, fox-like eyes and showed a naive smile, "Qingqing, I was just joking. Go ahead and answer the call."
Just as Nan Qingqing connected the call, before she could even speak,
an impatient voice on the other end, Nan Zhuoyuan’s, cut in: "Qingqing, your sister-in-law and I have some free time today and would like to come over and meet your family. Are your adoptive parents and sister at home?"
"If they’re not, it’s okay, just call them back now. We want to meet them, and we’ll be there in twenty minutes."
He hung up without giving Nan Qingqing any chance to refuse.
The smile on Nan Qingqing’s face stiffened, and her expression cracked slightly. Her mouth agape, she was unable to utter a word.
