Chapter 2327: Samsara Lord’s statue
A cold and merciless smile appeared on Ideonus’s face as Cain’s figure vanished within the raging energy blast. For a brief instant, the battlefield was swallowed by obsidian light and violent shockwaves. The air itself screamed under the pressure.
Then, in the very next second, Cain emerged.
Chaos Wings unfurled from his back in a burst of scarlet plasma, their presence igniting a primordial dread in the heart of anyone who witnessed them. Before Ideonus could react, Cain seized him by the head and began dragging his body violently across the ground. Frozen earth shattered beneath them, deep gouges carving through ice and stone alike.
The violet eyes of the native of Origin Island widened in shock as he felt Cain’s power rise yet again. Those scarlet wings were not merely an expression of energy—they carried an ancient, instinctive terror that made his very soul recoil.
Yet Ideonus did not surrender.
He tightened his grip around the handle of his invisible sword and released a massive blast of obsidian energy. The explosion tore through the battlefield and finally forced Cain backward.
The Chaos Wings flared violently, stabilizing Cain’s body and allowing him to regain control almost instantly. Without hesitation, Cain dove forward once more, every movement filled with killing intent.
The Power of Chaos placed immense pressure on his soul, especially when used at this level of combat. Cain had not wanted to rely on it so heavily. There was always the risk of encountering Neo-Angels ahead, and he would need enough strength left to kill them without hesitation.
Unfortunately, Ideonus had forced his hand.
At this point, Cain was going all out, no longer restraining himself in the slightest. If killing this man meant drawing the hostility of whatever forces stood behind him, so be it. Cain would deal with that when the time came.
Of course, Ideonus was not holding back either.
Although the Power of Chaos had significantly enhanced Cain’s strength, unleashing the mask pushed Ideonus to an overwhelming level of power. Their swords collided again and again, each impact releasing waves of energy that grew more violent with every exchange. The battlefield trembled under their clash, cracks spreading through the frozen land like veins.
