Chapter 1862: Ready for the next evolution
Cain merely smiled as he watched the Divine Cultivators flee across the horizon. He then turned to Magnus, Rylanor, and the rest of the warriors of the Scarlet Path. With a single wave of his hand, a massive portal appeared, swirling with crimson energy.
Although every one of them wanted to stay and witness the battle, they all understood a simple truth: just being close enough to observe the coming clash would be a death sentence. The shockwaves alone could shatter their bones and tear their souls apart. Without hesitation or protest, they marched toward the portal, returning to Aether—where they would be safe until the fight was over.
Soon, only Cain and the Prima Deities remained on the shattered shore of the Endlessdeath Continent.
Without wasting time, Cain turned to face the Sky Sovereign, Alucard, Pation, Karter, and Lancer.
"Remain with them," he commanded, "and make sure they watch the battle from a safe distance."
The five Prima Deities who had chosen to follow the Scarlet Path all nodded, stepping forward. Andrew and the other sealed Deities offered no resistance. With the seals Cain had placed upon them, they were powerless—unable to fight or escape. Their only option was to follow the Scarlet King’s commands and wait for the battle’s conclusion.
Cain watched as the group left. Only then did his expression grow serious and solemn. He had evolved greatly, but this battle would push him beyond anything he had faced before. After all, Divine Calamity was stronger than the Star ArchDeity.
There would be no retreat. No margin for error. If he failed to defeat Divine Calamity, everything he hoped to achieve—the Scarlet Path, his kingdom, his dream—would collapse.
Taking a deep breath, Cain focused on the fortress behind him. Through the interface of the [A.I. Chip Module], he hacked into the system and sent a simple message.
"I’m waiting. I’ve returned to finish what you started." Cain didn’t bother to wait for a reply. Thanks to the memories he had stolen from the Omega Avatar, he knew every aspect of Divine Calamity’s life, which was why he was sure that the ArchDiety would not resist the impulse to immediately march from his Omega Heaven and come to kill him.
Since the movements of his enemy were easy to predict, Cain focused on his surroundings. A wave of power surged from his Inner Universe and into the land beneath his feet, along with the stronghold in it. Off in the distance, the Prima Deities watched in awe as the entire shoreline of the Endlessdeath Continent began to rise into the sky. Those were countless tons, enough to measure up to a small world, yet Cain rose it into the air with nothing more than his Essence.
Their eyes widened as they felt the immense force behind Cain’s manipulation of gravity and space. None were more affected than Andrew. Though he dared not speak the thought aloud, a single terrifying realization passed through his mind:
