The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order

Chapter 1587: All-Out

Chapter 1587: All-Out

“BOOM!” “BOOM!”

Two thunderous detonations echoed simultaneously as Cain and Reverend Madness lunged forward, shattering the ground beneath their feet. Their speed was nothing short of astonishing—so fast that less than a nanosecond passed before halberd and sword collided in a shower of sparks and swirling energies. This time, however, the situation had shifted dramatically.

Reverend Madness’s eyes widened in alarm as he felt an overpowering strain running through his sword arm. He could not ignore how his blade was being forced downward by Cain’s halberd.

Cain’s strength had soared to new heights, not simply because his Ego Wave now fueled his Rebirth Heart and Evolution Core, but also due to the Concept of Power permeating every fiber of his body. It was as if raw, primal force radiated from his muscles and bones, granting him an advantage over the ancient monstrosity before him.

Of course, an eternal fiend like Reverend Madness was not one to panic. As soon as his sword was knocked aside, he pivoted and struck with his staff. Nightmare energy rippled across the staff’s surface, morphing it into a vicious insectoid claw aimed straight at Cain’s skull.

At that moment, Cain’s flaming red irises sparked with golden light. He unleashed The Flow. Up to this moment, it had failed against someone like Reverend Madness, who altered his patterns at the last second. This time, however, Cain’s mental speed was enough to counter any last-moment changes. Twisting his body, he forced the halberd forward, pushing the sword even farther away, and simultaneously evaded the staff. He then hammered his left elbow into Reverend Madness’s chest with explosive force.

“BOOOOOOOOOMMMMM!”

Reverend Madness soared through the air, only to twist his body mid-flight, regaining equilibrium almost instantaneously. He landed deftly on the fractured earth, eyes frigid and calm—as though the blow had not harmed him in the slightest. Moments later, however, a tremor ran through his frame. He coughed up a mouthful of blood, horror flickering in his gaze.

“Damn it,” he growled in disbelief. “That strike connected with a weak point in this body—a flaw left behind by an old wound…”
