Cain’s smile widened as he nodded toward Rellin, and his eyes wandered around the people gazing at him as if he were a divine entity before looking back at the old man with a meaningful gaze.
“I think it should be better for us to speak in private.
Would you like to accompany me to my domains?” Rellin understood Cain’s signal and nodded.
It was all the better for Rellin to move their exchange to a place without people.
If the young man was indeed a friend, then the sky above the fortress was not a place to talk, and if he were an enemy, it would be easier to fight against him where they would not cause so much collateral damage.
Cain noticed the wariness in Rellin’s eyes, a clear sign that the man was ready to strike if he did anything odd.
But Cain was confident he could run away with his life, and in the worst-case scenario, he would simply transport his willpower back to Aether.
After that small exchange, the duo flashed into the castle, soon reaching a large hall full of majestic structures.
It would have certainly been imposing for ordinary people, but it should not have affected Cain as he had built the Babel Tower, a structure whose might and grandeur were transcendental.
Yet, flashes of awe and shock appeared in Cain’s eyes as he looked around, seemingly stunned by the extravagance and majesty of the castle.
