They had a meeting late into the night.
Jane McCain was alone in the dorm, playing with her phone until its battery was almost dead, but Allen Rivera and the others hadn’t come back yet.
Not wanting to sleep but having nothing to do, her only means of passing the time was now about to die.
Nowadays, many phone charging cables are universal, but Jane didn’t want to rummage through Fiona Lake and Juliet Stewart’s luggage, feeling that it would be very impolite. After thinking for a moment, she decided to check Allen Rivera’s things first.
She took her phone and stepped out. The dorm next door belonged to Allen Rivera, Ray Cooper, and Lucas Tucker.
The door to the dorm was closed but not locked. Everyone staying here was involved in the justice system and mostly colleagues or familiar faces, so there was no concern about thieves. People rarely locked the door seriously unless they were going far away.
Jane walked into the dorm, rummaged through Allen’s bag, found a phone charging cable, compared it with her phone, and sure enough, it was compatible. She felt quite pleased.
As she was about to leave, she accidentally saw a bottle of Centrum tablets on the table.
