Jane McCain suddenly realized, "So you also have an older brother and sister at home."

"Yeah." Allen Rivera nodded, "One older sister, two older brothers, I’m the youngest. What about you?"

"I’m an only child."

Allen nodded again and asked, "Did you get into design because of your family?"

"Half and half, I guess," Jane said, "My parents agreed to get a divorce when I was in high school. He gave my mom a large sum of money. My mom used that money to start her own clothing brand. Actually, even before the divorce, my dad rarely came home and didn’t really take care of me, so the divorce didn’t affect me much. I went through school, went to college, and studied design... Now I work as a jewelry designer at my mom’s company. So yeah, I was mainly influenced by my mom."

Allen smiled and said, "I guess we’re getting to know each other all over again."

Jane gave a soft "hmm" and inexplicably felt shy. She lowered her head to pick up more food to eat.
