Chapter 1219
If it weren’t for the clues, Purple Summers wouldn’t have mentioned the Black Rose case, nor would she have needed to suddenly call at this time.
Purple Summers hesitated, then briefly mentioned Sydney Bennett’s situation to Allen Rivera.
"In the case I’m working on, the client is named Sydney Bennett. Ten years ago, she joined a chat group where everyone had a tattoo or an accessory related to the Black Rose. Sydney Bennett has a Black Rose tattoo on her left arm."
Purple paused for a moment, then continued, "I’m not sure if this is a clue, but I’d feel uneasy if we didn’t check it out..."
Information flashed through Allen’s mind, and he said, "Okay, I’ll arrange for someone to look into it."
"It’s best to hurry because Sydney Bennett is planning to go abroad soon, and the clues might be lost at any moment."
"Mm." Allen responded, "Got it."
After hanging up the phone, Allen restarted the car, his grip on the steering wheel momentarily pausing.
He frowned, feeling a bit puzzled. The first victim of the Black Rose had a tattoo on their arm, but this information hadn’t been disclosed to the public. How did Purple Summers know?
Then he thought, it’s possible Purple Summers has her own information channels now, given her familiarity with many prosecutors...
The phone rang again, this time regarding a plea bargain response for another case. Allen’s thoughts returned to his chaotic workload, and he didn’t dwell on the irrelevant issues...
Back in the office, after handling some procedural case files, Allen brought up the Black Rose case file to review.
