Always acting recklessly, she wondered what the servants thought of her as a mistress, would they consider her lust-blinded?
Purple hoped she was just overthinking it.
The food downstairs had been ready for a while, kept warm in the pot; Alexander Summers had it brought up directly, but Purple insisted on being fed by him.
It wasn’t that Purple was being whimsical or intentionally mushy, she was just irritated and wanted to give Alexander a hard time.
Why should she be unable to get out of bed every time he returned?
Alexander fed her spoon by spoon, filling her hungry stomach, leaving her feeling warm inside and lazily content after eating her fill.
He fed her half a bowl of soup, then cuddled with her on the bed to rest.
Purple wanted to get up and take a bath, but Alexander wouldn’t allow it, “You can’t bathe just after eating, wait a while.”

Alexander said, “From what you’re saying, she shouldn’t be asking for a peace charm; she should get a peach blossom charm from Hunter Dalton to avoid being left on the shelf.”
“Hey! Don’t joke about such things!” Purple tapped him lightly, “Jane is genuinely stricken. She might even end up with a psychological shadow.”
“Just find someone familiar,” Alexander dismissively said. “Someone she has known for seven or eight years, who knows her through and through. They’re unlikely to turn into a murderer all of a sudden, right?”
With that, Purple instantly thought of Ryan Wesley.
But Ryan Wesley liked Zara Jameson, and he only had a brotherly relationship with Jane.
If only Jane had a childhood friend…

Alexander chuckled and hugged her more tightly, “Did you not pay attention in class and got punished by the teacher?”

When Victoria Morrison targeted her, she was angry and aggrieved but didn’t want Alexander to know!
It was embarrassing for someone her age to get caught out by a teacher, and Purple felt she would lose face!
Alexander laughed heartily.
“You’re not allowed to laugh!” Purple tried to cover his mouth with her hand again.
Alexander, laughing, kissed her palm and said, “That Victoria Morrison, there’s something off about her. I had someone check into her.”
