The others had clearly spotted the towering suit of full plate armor appearing at the end of the road. Perhaps it was the massive war hammer raised before it that made the sight even more shocking.

"Why is it so huge? Is that an ogre?" said Thesaya.

Ian couldn’t tell what was inside the armor either. As she suggested, it could have been a bipedal monster like an ogre, or even an orc mutated through forbidden experiments.

It didn’t really matter.

Whatever it was, it was clearly a loyal puppet of the mages, sent to restore order to the chaos.

However, that wasn’t the only reason Ian’s eyes narrowed.

Purple magic, visible through the armor, spread across it like veins. Behind it, he could make out the magic of several smaller figures hiding in its shadow. At their center stood one whose purple magic shone with unmistakable intensity.
