Those Classmates who Suddenly Disappeared

Gu Fan glanced at the back door, then at the direction of the front door, then at the remaining food and water, and heard the rumbling sounds coming from everyone’s stomachs.

In an instant, Gu Fan thought of something, and solemnly said, "Let’s go through the back door! That’s where the monster wants us to go."

"What do you mean?" Everyone looked confused.

Gu Fan began to explain, "The monster cleared the path to the back door because it hopes we will take it. If I’m not mistaken, the monster will attack from the front door next, forcing us to escape through the back door."

The driver immediately scolded, "What nonsense are you talking? Stop making wild guesses and scaring everyone."

Uncle Blacky interjected, "Yeah, if the monster wanted to attack, it would have done so already. Why wait until now?"

"Because the monster is waiting for us to nearly exhaust our food and water supply and for our spirits to almost collapse." As soon as Gu Fan said this, everyone’s hearts skipped a beat, and then a sense of fear spread throughout their bodies.

The driver paused for a moment, then quickly came back to argue, "You’re talking nonsense again. How could the monster know that we’re running low on food and water?"

Gu Fan shook his head, smiled bitterly, and replied, "Because the monster has been outside the whole time. I think it has excellent hearing and can wait for the sound of our stomachs growling, increasing in frequency, which indicates that our food and water are almost gone."

Upon hearing this, everyone’s hearts sank.

Suddenly, there was a roar from inside the room. Judging by the noise, it seemed the monster had rushed in through the front door.
