Chapter 1707: Taking Photos
That thing is probably still nearby looking for an opportunity, and judging by its movements, it doesn’t seem stupid. So trying the same trick again likely won’t work—it can’t be baited anymore.
No matter what, we absolutely cannot go deeper into the forest. This time, both Gu Fan and the boss insisted on leading everyone to charge out.
So, everyone put on a united front, marching in lockstep with determination, gritting their teeth, and following the boss to rush toward the forest’s edge.
Rustling sounds emerged once more from the treetops—it was clear that thing was moving again, and it seemed anxious, as though it didn’t want them to leave the forest. This only further solidified Gu Fan’s resolve.
"Run, everyone, hurry!" the boss shouted anxiously, and the others pushed themselves to sprint with all their might.
Li Shi, being a woman, fell behind. Watching herself grow further away from the group, panic gripped her heart. The more anxious she became, the more prone she was to making mistakes, and she accidentally tripped and fell.
That was bad. Though Li Shi’s fall didn’t hurt much, by the time she got up, she realized the others were already out of sight. In the darkness of the forest, it was all too easy to lose track of people.
Despite Li Shi’s youthful beauty, at this critical moment, who would care about her? Everyone was focused on saving their own lives, and besides, they weren’t even close to Li Shi.
Surrounded by the pitch-black forest, the pervasive, eerie silence filled Li Shi with terror. She was trembling, frightened and unsure of what to do. Tears streamed down her face out of sheer desperation.
"Damn it, Gu Fan, how could you leave me behind?" Li Shi cried as she wiped her tears. Just as she considered chasing after them, she saw a figure rushing back toward her.
Li Shi was stunned—wasn’t this the Gu Fan she had just cursed moments ago? The bastard really came back for her.
