Everyone was still wondering if the two people who had just gone missing might have encountered danger when a shrill scream echoed around them, scaring the group into huddling closer to the boss.
"What should we do?" They looked at the boss, who himself wore a helpless expression.
Gu Fan was terrified to his core, but he could feel Li Shi clutching tightly onto his arm, trembling violently beside him.

What now? Do they have to keep moving forward? Helpless, the group followed the boss deeper into the trees.
Gu Fan frowned, sensing that the creature’s every move since its appearance had been calculated to herd them deeper and deeper into the forest.
"Could I be overthinking this?" Gu Fan tried to regulate his breathing, control his racing heartbeat, and keep himself as calm as possible.
