Chapter 1668: Confrontation with Strength
Though the Big Boss was powerful and terrifyingly bloodthirsty, he was, after all, just one person. There was no way he could handle the scattered Resistance Army alone. Besides, as long as one avoided direct contact with him, a berserk individual charging wildly wasn’t much of a threat.
The real threat to the Resistance Army was the X Legion, stationed in four directions to encircle the Resistance Army Headquarters, attacking in an organized fashion.
This was why Gu Fan chose to give up targeting the Big Boss and prioritized dealing with the X Legion first.
Now, in all directions, countless rockets were fired, whistling fiercely as they slammed into buildings. The deafening explosions were accompanied by flames roaring into the sky and smoke spreading everywhere, reducing the already desolate area into a wasteland.
Gu Fan noticed the direction from which the rockets had been launched. He immediately dashed forward, directly targeting an enemy camp.
Within a short time, Gu Fan crushed the eastern enemy forces, leaving them running for their lives in disarray. This opened a hole in the enemy’s encirclement.
One camp was destroyed, but three still remained. If he could take out these camps one by one and then deal with the Big Boss, this battle might finally find some stability.
However, the sound of rocket fire stopped, and Gu Fan knew exactly what that implied. The remaining three camps must have started advancing into the zone, beginning their search for Resistance fighters.
It was the same principle as how the Big Boss couldn’t take out all of the scattered Resistance fighters at once. Now, as the X Legion entered the abandoned city, it would inevitably scatter as well, making it impossible for Gu Fan to eliminate all of them in a short span of time.
