"Damn hunter, I will make you pay," Xue Long fumed. If it wasn’t for his injuries, he really wanted to smash something to vent his frustration.
At that moment, Li, who was responsible for guarding, saw Gu Fan returning and immediately swung open the door, giving Gu Fan an excited embrace, "It’s great, man, you’re alive and back."
"Yeah, it wasn’t easy," Gu Fan replied in an utterly exhausted manner, as if escaping had drained all his strength.
Xue Long snorted coldly, "It’s good you’re back, but you’re just an ordinary person; how did you manage to escape unscathed from the Hunter’s Guild?"
To this, Gu Fan already had his excuse ready, "Because there were many vampires escaping from the warehouse, the Hunter’s Guild chose to prioritize them over someone as weak as me."
Hearing this, Xue Long frowned, seemingly contemplating the credibility of Gu Fan’s statement.
