Chapter 1371: Conversation Doesn’t Click
In the motel room, Gu Fan was comparing surveillance photos with Li. Among the pictures were Su Hui, Lin Xi, Lu Yi, Jie, and some members of the Hunter’s Guild including Irina.
"Beautiful, just beautiful. I still prefer Eastern beauties," Li said as he looked at the photos of Su Hui and Lin Xi, unable to conceal his blooming delight.
All Gu Fan could say was, "Beautiful women are always trouble."
Upon hearing this, Li looked puzzled and said, "As if you’ve had experience with that."
Gu Fan could only offer an awkward smile. Just as he was about to change the subject, he suddenly heard the sound of cars outside but didn’t pay much attention to it.
Li glanced out the window and suddenly, his complexion turned pale, as if he had been startled by something.
"What’s the matter, you look as if you’ve seen a ghost," Gu Fan said with concern. He too went to the window and just then, spotted several men in suits heading to the motel.
Li hurriedly told Gu Fan to hide and avoid being seen by those men, explaining that they were from Organization X and typically worked for Xue Wang.
Gu Fan’s brows furrowed as he wondered what these men, representing Xue Wang, could possibly want by coming here.
