"Alright, for the sake of friendship and because I do like intelligence, I agree to fight side by side with you. But to join you? That’s out of the question. I am a person who cherishes freedom, who prefers to do things my own way. I don’t appreciate being told to do something I don’t want to do," the hunter replied, leaving his friend with nothing more to say.
The friend tried again, "If you know the reason these vampires have come to the city, you must tell me."
"Okay, if I know, I will definitely tell you," the hunter said, though he was inwardly puzzled. Zhuo Hang was now the head of the Special Investigation Team, and he would know why the vampires came to this city. Why then had Huang Hang remained silent? Was it a deliberate concealment?
