Chapter 1074: Old Rivals
After driving over thirty kilometers, Sister Hong arrived at a desolate coastal levee. She got out of the car with no interest in admiring the blue sea and sky and instead, with confident strides, approached another woman.
Leng Le, with arms crossed, leaned against her own car, watching Sister Hong approach with keen interest before saying, "You really do like to be late, making others wait for you on purpose."
Sister Hong was unfazed, "Since you know this habit of mine, you could have come later."
Leng Le coolly responded, "I’m sorry, but I have a good sense of time, which is also why the boss approves of me."
"Had the boss listened to my advice from the beginning, things might not have turned out this way. Even the wisest person can make mistakes," Sister Hong said, then handed over a business card and added, "I’m now in control of an underground nightclub. I plan to gradually expand from this foundation. If the boss needs anything, I can help him with the resources at my disposal."
"Not bad, I thought you couldn’t make it after leaving us." Leng Le took the business card and examined it thoroughly.
Sister Hong smiled faintly, "Leng Le, I know you look down on me, and frankly, I don’t think much of you either. We have mutual disdain, but at least for now, I’m stronger than you. I can help the boss rise again. Can you?"
Leng Le scoffed, "What a comeback story. Do you really think the boss is someone who needs your help to rise again?"
"No matter what the boss does, she needs people who can offer help, and I’m sure I can do more than you can, which is something you can’t deny," Sister Hong said with even more pride, overshadowing Leng Le.
