The worst part was that the constant coming and going in and out of the city created complete chaos, with no clear direction. Those eagerly following Gu Fan saw that he was truly running away and became desperate. They didn’t have enough manpower; if they followed him, who would notify the approaching main force? If they didn’t follow, they would really lose Gu Fan.

After much deliberation, the person in charge of tracking sent someone back to inform the main force, leaving only two people to continue the pursuit of Gu Fan and Mo Yun.

So, the messenger hurriedly turned around and rushed into the city. Since he came from the south, he reached the south gate and informed the people there about Gu Fan’s movements.

"What, that kid isn’t coming into the city this time, he’s really running?" The group panicked, immediately gave chase, and sent people to notify those at the other gates to move out.
