Chapter 885 We Are Joining Forces
The dark alleyway, on a sinister night, two vampires were running for their lives with every ounce of strength they had, not daring to look back, their faces etched with fear.
"Have you had enough of running? Don’t say I never gave you a chance." The hunter, riding on his sword, descended from the skies and landed in front of the two vampires, blocking their path.
Realizing they couldn’t escape, both vampires’ legs shook uncontrollably.
The hunter stood on his treasured sword, floating mid-air, with his hands behind his back, overlooking them from above, his black trench coat rustling in the wind.
"Let’s fight!" one vampire decided to go all out and lunged at the hunter, only to be hit in the heart by a toothpick the moment he surged forward, and then he fell backward, his skin quickly turning ashen.
The disparity in strength was too great; the other vampire didn’t even see how the hunter had struck, filled with ultimate panic, knowing this meant there was no chance for retaliation.
Unable to fight back, the remaining vampire knelt and begged for mercy, "Please, Hunter brother, I was just an ordinary person before, I grew up in this city since I was a child, I never thought of becoming a vampire, it was all their doing."
Witnessing the vampire’s desperate pleas, the hunter remained unmoved, "Vampires like you, I’ve seen plenty; each one claims they’re innocent, each one says they didn’t want to become a vampire voluntarily. So what?"
"Maybe you indeed didn’t do anything wrong, but the problem is that you’re already a vampire. You will drink human blood, you will harm the innocent; so, sorry." With that said, the hunter had already pinched a toothpick between his fingers, ready to deliver justice.
