The robbers and Organization X’s personnel were exchanging gunfire, bullets flew wildly, blood was splattering, and soon the air was filled with cries of pain.
Seeing the dire circumstances, Gu Fan and Su Hui made up their minds not to get involved. They lowered their heads, hunched their backs, and slipped away through another route.
"What the hell is going on!" Gu Fan was baffled. Meeting the robbers, who exactly was the unlucky one here — them or the robbers?
Su Hui remarked, "The commotion now being made is definitely going to alert the local police. If we don’t leave quickly, we’ll likely be questioned too."
Gu Fan agreed, adding, "In a situation like this, I believe the personnel of Organization X will retreat within a short time and not cause us trouble. What I’m worried about is, if Organization X is powerful enough to quell this chaos and even use the local law enforcement to capture us."
"Which means we can’t trust anyone now; it’s all up to us." Su Hui and Gu Fan continued their escape, but after running for a while, they realized there was a problem. They were unfamiliar with the area and there were no safe places to hide. Staying in a hotel was out of the question.
Without anyone’s help, Su Hui knew that she and Gu Fan would eventually get caught. They had to come up with a plan quickly.
While Gu Fan and Su Hui were in a deep thought, a car near them suddenly came hurtling, nearly running them over, making their hearts race.
The driver stuck his head out, wanting to say something, but was taken aback upon seeing familiar faces. Then he pulled his head back in.
