Su Hui finally understood what the team was for and also confirmed that things typically unexplainable by ordinary science were certainly not good news. It was best to keep her distance, but the problem lay in the fact that this assignment was a task forced upon her from the higher-ups.
Su Hui helplessly said: "I appreciate the recognition from those above, but I am a woman who believes in science. Therefore, I am indifferent towards special events unexplainable by science. I think they should reconsider the choice of personnel."
Upon Su Hui’s reaction, Liu Hui was taken aback, only to respond calmly: "Su Hui, the higher-ups have stated, you have taken long leaves of absence several times already. You can’t say you won’t do it again."
Upon hearing this, Su Hui immediately clapped her hands, showing a demeanor of accepting the challenge gleefully: "Well, you’re right, I truly have no reason to decline. I will take up this assignment, as for what Zhuo Hang has to do with this special events investigation team, I would like to know."
"He’s the team leader..." Liu Hui barely finished his sentence when Su Hui’s emotions surged: "What, this guy is the team leader, I’m sorry, but we don’t see eye to eye, and I decline to work under him."
As a response, Liu Hui explained that this assignment was just a request for Su Hui’s assistance in the investigation, not an invitation to join the team, so strictly speaking, she wasn’t subordinate to Zhuo Hang.
"Alright, I reluctantly accept on these grounds." Su Hui appeared satisfied, and then opened the file before her, recognized two familiar names and photos, one being Zhang Yang and the other, Yang Xinran.
