Chapter 661: Almost Capsized
"Oh my God, it’s so huge!" Gu Fan, Su Hui, Lin Xi and others were all dumbfounded, having never seen such a colossal giant squid before. Several tentacles quickly wrapped around the cargo ship, which looked to be at least seventy meters long.
Feeling the cargo ship swaying under the power of the giant squid, there was a tendency to capsize, causing everyone great fear. If the ship capsized and everyone fell into the sea, it would be disastrous.
Fortunately, the massive cargo ship that Gu Fan and the others were on was large enough and sufficiently heavy-toned, not easily disturbed.
But the severe swaying of the cargo ship made it impossible for everyone to stay on their feet. The ship would tilt to one side and then to the other, causing Lu Yi to stagger and roll around, making a complete mess.
"We can’t go on like this, we need to find a solution!" Su Hui picked up her gun and aimed at the tentacles. But with shaky footing, she had to abandon shooting to try to stabilize herself.
Having no other choice, Su Hui lied down on the floor, leaning her body to one side against the railing, wrapping one leg and arm around to stabilize herself to the greatest extent possible before opening fire.
Perhaps Su Hui’s aim was inexorable, but the tentacles were too large; a few bullets were of no use. Worse still, a tentacle of the giant squid swept across the deck, sending Gu Fan, Jie, and Ouyang Jin flying.
"Oh my God, it hurts!" Gu Fan said, holding his chest in agony.
Had it not been for Lin Xi’s Protective Barrier, she too would have been launched into the air. She realized that in the current situation, defense could not be the sole focus—they needed to figure out a way to attack.
