Chapter 615: Saving People is Important
Gu Fan agreed to help, not for any other reason, but merely because the man was Jie’s elder brother; Jie would not want anything bad to happen to him.
Hai’s subordinates were thrilled and extremely grateful towards Gu Fan to the point they were preparing to give him a big, heartfelt hug.
Gu Fan quickly added, "Don’t thank me yet. We may not be able to help. Let’s see Hai first."
"Alright, follow me!" one of Hai’s subordinates showed the way. Gu Fan called over Su Hui, Lin Xi, and Jie, and they followed Hai’s subordinate into the woods, eventually winding up in a mountain cave.
The boss’s men were scattered about lethargically, devoid of any spark of life. It seemed that the recent defeat had dealt them a serious blow.
With the departure of the boss, Hai’s unconscious state, and Leng Le’s subsequent seizure, all their significant figures were gone. They found it hard to muster any spirit.
The sight of Gu Fan, Su Hui, Lin Xi, and Jie coming in left the boss’s men stunned. They hadn’t expected to see these individuals at all. Then came the realization that they were standing on opposite sides, which only heightened their tension.
"Everyone, don’t panic. They’re here to help save Brother Hai," someone explained, but the boss’s men were full of skepticism. The idea that their enemies could be so benevolent was hard to swallow.
Jie was impatient, quickly asking, "How is my brother? Where is he now?"
