Chapter 603: Goodbye Without Farewell
At this point, Ouyang Jin, Gu Ling, and the captain had sailed the ship to a location near the agreed point, everyone was hoping that Gu Fan and the others would be safe and sound.
Gu Ling leaned against the railing, propped her hand on her forehead, looking lifeless as she stared at the island, preoccupied with worry about Gu Fan.
"Relax, he will be fine. He has experienced so much, he won’t be defeated by an island." Ouyang Jin assured confidently, although deep down he was worried too.
Gu Ling furrowed her brows, then fixated her gaze on the tree-covered hill on the island. She saw figures moving, one, two, three, goodness, more and more, too many to count.
Ouyang Jin quickly borrowed a telescope from the captain. As he looked through it, he was dumbstruck. It was indeed Gu Fan, Lin Xi, Su Hui and the others who were safe, but by the looks of them frantically running, he knew the situation was precarious.
He saw large groups of primitive people chasing after Gu Fan and the others, throwing their spears haphazardly, even accidentally injuring their own people.
Ouyang Jin couldn’t help but exclaim, "What on earth did you guys do to rouse this much hate from the primitive people?"
Du Jun piped in, "I guess these primitives haven’t seen fresh meat in a long time, wouldn’t it be a pity to let it go?"
"Enough with the jokes, let’s get the ship closer." Jie urged, and the captain also ordered his crew to move the ship closer to shore in hopes that it wasn’t too late.
