Chapter 569: The Mist Clears Away
"Oh my god, what happened now?" Lu Yi couldn’t help but complain, then heard some footsteps. But this time, they were not approaching, but retreating.
Everyone held their breath and listened intently. Indeed, the footsteps were receding, which meant they were safe, and everyone cheered.
"Stay alert!" Gu Fan warned the group cautiously.
Just then, the fog in the cabin began to slowly dissipate, making everything around it visible again. Everyone could see the terrified expressions on each other’s faces.
The threatening footsteps had receded, and even the fog had cleared, meaning it was relatively safe now. Gu Fan quickly sprang into action, making it a priority to find Lin Xi, Gu Ling, and the other women.
After searching the cabin for a while with no results, Gu Fan ran outside. As he stepped out, his foot slipped, he lost his balance and stumbled towards the railing. Due to the boat tilting, Gu Fan was dumped overboard.
Gu Fan, however, reacted quickly and managed to hold onto the railing, saving himself from falling into the sea. The others reached him in the nick of time and pulled him back on board.
"Oh my god, that was close." Gu Fan climbed back, looked around and found that they were stranded next to a small island.
Lu Yi commented, "It’s strange, why did the fog recede as soon as the ship grounded, is there a connection?"
