Those Classmates who Suddenly Disappeared

Chapter 555: Giving a Headache

The map remained indecipherable as Gu Fan studied it for several days to no avail. Now, he turned to his father’s notes. However, the original notes were taken by the boss and what was left were the ones Gu Chuanshan rewrote from memory. They lacked a lot of content which meant Gu Fan didn’t have much to refer to.

The notes suggested the Triangle Sea Area was formed by three lands: the East land, the West land, and the North land. The islands that Gu Chuanshan had studied were mostly located near the East land.

Gu Chuanshan recorded all the islands he had examined, yet a quarter was still missing from his memory.

According to Gu Chuanshan, he would designate a scope and study islands within that area one by one, not jumping from one island to another randomly.

"Then I’ll give it a try." Gu Fan began by looking for the names of these islands on the map, circling them with a pencil. Then, he drew a rough boundary based on these islands and discarded all islands within this area. That way, he managed to include the unrecorded quarter of the islands that had slipped from Gu Chuanshan’s memory.

For instance, if an island was not circled but all the islands around it were, Gu Fan considered it out of potential interest and crossed it off from the list.

With three thousand islands, finding the true destination would be like finding a needle in a haystack without eliminating some islands from consideration.

Although Gu Fan had managed to reduce the number of potential islands in Triangle Sea Area down to slightly over a hundred, three thousand islands remained. The seemingly impossible task was rather disheartening. How could this be possible?

The key still lay in that map. As Gu Chuanshan noted, he documented his findings while exploring the Triangle Sea Area and also recorded his understanding of the map.
