Chapter 530: Such a Coincidence
Gu Fan, following the information sent by Boss Ding, found the hotel and entered the meeting venue. He successfully united with Boss Ding, and they both sat in a corner quietly waiting for the meeting to initiate.
Gu Fan stated that he did not wish to waste time attending this kind of meeting which held no significance for him. Listening to a group of people exaggerate, praise each other and brag was something he couldn’t endure.
However, Boss Ding stopped Gu Fan, saying: "Since you’ve already come, you might as well participate."
Shaking his head, Gu Fan replied, "I don’t understand what they talk about, and I can’t learn anything. It wastes a lot of time."
Boss Ding responded, "You’ve read so many books during your time at the university. How much time does it take you to read one book?"
Gu fan pondered and replied, "If I read intermittently, take some breaks, then I can finish a book in a day."
"And what do you get from reading a book for an entire day?" This question from Boss Ding made Gu Fan frown before he replied, "For me, less than one-tenth of a book is useful. Most of what is written is long-winded, and part of it is repetitive."
Boss Ding nodded, "Exactly, you spend a whole day to get just a fraction of useful knowledge. Isn’t this situation similar to our current one?"
Gu Fan disagreed, "Reading books and attending meetings are two different things. When reading a book, you’re certain to learn something useful, whereas you may not learn anything from a meeting."
