Those Classmates who Suddenly Disappeared

Chapter 507: Figure Out a Way to Break Through

"No, no, something is off here. They must have done something." Gu Fan speculated a possibility and decided to test it. He led Gu Ling on for a bit, to a crossroad and prepared to take a right turn.

Gu Ling immediately warned, "We can’t go there, brother."

"Okay, I got it." Gu Fan hid with Gu Ling in the shadows, carefully observing the situation. Since Gu Ling couldn’t make the turn, this indicated someone was there.

They waited for a while and still couldn’t turn. But no one appeared from the right side of the road, which made Gu Fan suspicious and he figured something out.

"No wonder. This must be your smart trick, Leng Le." Gu Fan concluded. The other party must have arranged for someone to stand on the right and watch. That’s why Gu Ling could sense someone there, but the person’s task was simply to stand there motionlessly, hence nobody seemed to be coming from the right side.

They waited for a little while longer, but there were still no silhouettes and Gu Ling still couldn’t turn right. He wondered, were those people just standing still all the time?

Gu Fan was looking at the map on his phone while stroking his chin in thought. "Ah, Leng Le, if this is your plan, it’s not bad at all. But remember, there’s no place like home. I know this place better than you, not all paths are marked on the map here."

Pressured by time, Gu Fan immediately sprang into action, leading Gu Ling to a high wall that surprisingly had a break. He asked Gu Ling to climb in first, then he followed.

Surprisingly, on the other side of the wall, there was a narrow embankment, too narrow to be marked on the map. The wall was built to prevent people from falling into the river. Gu Fan and Gu Ling carefully followed the embankment, passing under a bridge, effectively bypassing many lines of defence set up by Leng Le.
