"Gu Fan, oh Gu Fan, I really didn’t expect you to have the courage to face me alone, aren’t you afraid that I’ll do you in?" The boss said, smirking, his eyes oozing malevolence.
"I’ve been worried, but, well, I think even though you’re vicious, boss, you’re not a savage." Gu Fan pulled up a chair and openly invited the boss to sit.
The boss sat opposite to Gu Fan, watching him with interest, and said: "Indeed, I don’t resort to violence and killing rashly, but I do have bad moods. When I’m not in a good mood, I particularly enjoy venting by beating people. Here’s a piece of advice for you."
Gu Fan nodded as if he understood: "Thanks for the reminder, but from what I see boss, doesn’t seem like you’re in a bad mood."
"Yes, I’m currently in a good mood. Be careful not to say something wrong and get me upset - I might just skin you alive," The boss then laughed as though he had the upper hand.
Knowing his boss was jesting, Gu Fan responded calmly: "Even if I accidentally offend you boss, you wouldn’t punish me, right? Else who’d dare speak to you."
The boss gave a light smile: "Gu Fan, I don’t really understand why you’re here. Did you really come looking for Leng Le? With your intellect, you should know that finding Leng Le could lead to crossing paths with me. Considering everyone is avoiding me, you’re still here. Either you genuinely care for Leng Le and willing to take risks, or you’re looking for me, not Leng Le."
Gu Fan also laughed happily: "As expected, boss, you’re correct. I didn’t just come looking for Leng Le, but also you, boss."
Hearing this, the boss became even more interested: "Oh! I understand why you’re looking for Leng Le - you want to know whether this relationship is genuine or not. But why are you looking for me? You wouldn’t be asking for my help, would you?"
