Chapter 439: A More Powerful One Arrives
Gu Fan did not immediately accept Ning Qi’s terms because they were too harsh, demanding him to do three things for her. He didn’t know what plans Ning Qi had in mind, so he didn’t agree to the terms straight away and decided to think over it more carefully.
Naturally, Ning Qi allowed Gu Fan time to think, but stressed that there was not much time left. If the other two members of Shennv Xuanhui were to wake up, it would put them in a difficult situation.
Gu Fan paid little heed to this. The other two members of Shennv Xuanhui still hadn’t awakened, and they weren’t going to just wake up spontaneously. Besides, Gu Fan daringly bet that Ning Qi wouldn’t dare to wake up the other two so hastily, considering the fear she had to endure from simply dealing with Qian Ying.
An hour later, Ning Qi drove back to her new residence. Upon exiting the car, her face was lined with worry, as if she was lost in thought. She hadn’t expected that under such circumstances, Gu Fan would still remain calm. She wondered if he was genuinely unconcerned about the other two members of Shennv Xuanhui waking up.
In actuality, just as Gu Fan predicted, Ning Qi had no intentions of waking the other two members of Shennv Xuanhui. She had barely managed to escape from Qian Ying, adding two more to the equation would be unthinkable.
Ning Qi contemplated that if Gu Fan refused, she would bury the two sleeping pods or sink them to the bottom of the ocean, ensuring they could never be found.
Just as Ning Qi pulled out her keys and opened the door to her house, she had a peculiar feeling. For some inexplicable reason, many objects in her house started floating, as though there was no gravity, like in outer space.
"Something’s wrong, could it be ..." Ning Qi attempted to turn around and escape, but suddenly, she too lost gravity, and started to float. She felt a surge of fear bubbling up from within.
Ning Qi tried to swim through the air, but to no avail. After struggling for a bit, she realized that her efforts were futile.
