Chapter 411: Revealing the Fox’s Tail
Lin Xi and Yang Xinran together headed toward the school’s security room. However, fearful of encountering the others on the way, Yang Xinran suggested taking a dark little path through the grove of trees, thereby allowing them to more quickly reach the security room.
After a moment of consideration, Lin Xi accepted the proposition. The two headed directly for the school’s grove, passing through the dark little path. It seemed quiet here, with no streetlights, no surveillance... and yet...
As they walked on, Lin Xi slowly moved toward the front. It wasn’t that her pace quickened, but rather Yang Xinran slowed down. Despite this, Lin Xi paid it no mind and continued walking ahead.
Suddenly, several people darted out from the dark grove, surprisingly the same men from before. They rushed toward Lin Xi with mischievous smiles, as though they had anticipated Lin Xi passing by this way and had thus laid in wait for a long time.
Everything happened too quickly and suddenly. Despite being Lin Xi, she wouldn’t even have time to react or cast a spell to save herself under normal circumstances. Yet, as if she knew there would be an ambush, she simply snapped her fingers, casually flicking away the people rushing at her.
The guys were unfortunate. Of all people to mess with, they chose to mess with Lin Xi. One by one, they were sent flying and hit against tree trunks before losing consciousness.
"Oh my god, that was so dangerous, Lin Xi, are you alright?" Yang Xinran feigned worry and approached to check if Lin Xi was hurt. But just as her hand was about to touch the back of Lin Xi’s head, Lin Xi turned around and grabbed Yang Xinran’s hand.
Caught off guard by this move, Yang Xinran was stunned. Finding her hand held tightly by Lin Xi and unable to break free however hard she tried, she panicked: "What are you doing, Lin Xi? You’re hurting me."
"Are you still playing a role, Yang Xinran..." After saying this, Lin Xi sneered, "No, to be more precise, Fourth Sister."
