Chapter 396: Not Answering the Call
Having handed the matter over to her colleagues, Su Hui, who had been tired all day, dragged her exhausted body back to her place, where she found Gu Fan and Gu Ling watching the news on the sofa.
Upon seeing Su Hui’s return, Gu Ling became excited: "Sister Su, I saw you on the news, the incident from last night has been reported. My goodness, I really can’t believe it."

Feeling a little guilty under Gu Ling’s scrutiny, Gu Fan asked: "Xiaoling, what’s wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?"
Gu Ling poutily exclaimed: "Brother, you’re so biased! You never make warm milk for me, let alone put it in a thermos. Am I not your real sister? Why don’t I get this kind of preferential treatment? You don’t appreciate having such a beautiful sister."
Gu Fan had a headache listening to this: "You were always taken care of by mom and dad before, there was no need for me to worry. I just started getting used to looking after you, can you just give me some time?"
"Huh, you’re just biased and fickle." Gu Ling categorically rejected Gu Fan’s reasoning, then picked up her phone: "I’m going to tell mom and dad about your negligence in dutifully looking after me as an older brother. You’re also hiding your new paramour."
