Chapter 308: Ice and Fire Glowworm
After a while, through the binoculars, Gu Fan saw Deng Wenli standing still at the same spot and Ning Qi seemed to be very distressed, looking utterly lost.
"What on earth happened?" Gu Fan had a bad feeling, then he saw numerous blue glowing lights drifting towards Ning Qi.
Ning Qi also saw these blue fireflies. Her face instantly lost color as she started to run. She was scared to tears. Even though she fell, she picked herself up and kept running, rolling and crawling in her desperate bid to escape.
The glowworms were still chasing Ning Qi, which greatly puzzled Gu Fan - why did these insects like Ning Qi so much? And how could there be glowworms in such a snowy environment?
Gu Fan felt that something was not right. Seeing the panicked look on Ning Qi’s face, and Deng Wenli standing frozen in place, he feared...
When she was close to the cabin, Ning Qi was running out of strength and fell once more. Feeling desperate, Gu Fan suddenly darted out, rushed to Ning Qi’s side, grabbed her, and then ran back with her in tow.
Ning Qi was shocked, her thoughts in a whirl. Why would Gu Fan appear in a miracle-like timing? But with the urgency of the situation, Ning Qi decided not to dwell on it.
Once Gu Fan and Ning Qi made it back to the cabin, they closed the door tightly and quickly checked all the windows to ensure there were no cracks. The commotion woke up many people.
"Wake up, everybody, wake up quickly!" Ning Qi yelled anxiously, alerting everyone that something was wrong.
