Those Classmates who Suddenly Disappeared

Chapter 234: Evading the Problem

Today, Yuan Cheng finished work on time. Not long after their wedding, he went home every day with a sense of anticipation, endlessly longing for the warm days with his wife. However, as soon as he stepped out of the doorway, he saw Su Hui standing with her arms folded, leaning against the car door, smiling, seemingly having waited for him for quite a while.

"Why are you here?" Yuan Cheng’s tone was not so much a question as it was an accusation, as if he wasn’t happy to see Su Hui.

"Nothing much, I just wanted to have a chat with you, calm and objective, without emotions, about the breakup fee." Su Hui’s words left Yuan Cheng rather bemused. Knowing Su Hui as he did, he was aware that she would never ask for a breakup fee, this was all just an excuse.

Then Su Hui said, "Come on, open the car door for me, it’s been a long time since I rode in your car."

"Sorry, but the passenger seat is reserved for my wife." Yuan Cheng righteously refused. He roughly guessed why Su Hui was here and now wanted to keep his distance from her.

"Then walk with me for a bit. I can calculate your breakup fee as we go." As soon as Su Hui started to speak, Yuan Cheng replied, "There is no need for all that trouble. Just send me the bill, and I will transfer the money to you."

"So generous." Su Hui laughed, continuing, "Okay, let’s settle the breakup fee then. I should congratulate you on your recent marriage."

"Thank you for your blessings. If there’s nothing else, I should go. You should call a taxi for yourself, I’m not going to drop you off." Having said that, Yuan Cheng opened the car door. However, just as he sat down, Su Hui shamelessly climbed into the passenger seat.

Yuan Cheng stared at Su Hui in surprise, while Su Hui seemed to feel nothing was amiss, even exclaiming, "These leather seats, they still feel the same as before."

"Su Hui, what exactly do you want?" Yuan Cheng was frustrated. He was being put in a difficult position which, to be honest, was quite in line with Su Hui’s style, although somewhat shameless.

Su Hui pretended to be apologetic, "Don’t be angry, don’t be angry, what are you, a man, minding with me, a woman? Is it just because I sat in your car? I didn’t eat you or anything. You’re a grown man, what are you afraid of? I’m not afraid, are you a man at all?"
