Chapter 180: They’ve Come to Arrest Someone
At nine in the evening, there was still a bit of time before the restaurant closed when Lin Xi walked in. She confidently chose a spot and sat down. The moment she entered, she drew the attention of everyone around. Her charm dimmed even the artificial light of the place.
A waiter politely greeted her and handed her the menu. Lin Xi made a show of considering what to order, finally settling on some dishes and drinks.
"Where could he be, where could he be?" Lin Xi mused, pretending to play with her phone when the waiter left, while scanning the room in search of Leng Le. But the female staff that she saw were plain-looking.
Lin Xi knew that Leng Le was the owner and wouldn’t make herself easily seen. She was stumped about how to draw Leng Le out and pondered over this.
At this moment, a waiter brought over a drink. Lin Xi’s eyes twinkled, and she secretly snapped her fingers.
For some reason, the waiter fumbled and dropped the beverage. The drink splashed onto Lin Xi’s beautiful dress, causing her immediate displeasure.
"What are you doing?" Lin Xi feigned anger while secretly snapping her fingers again. As she stood up, a damaged portion of her seat caught the hem of her dress, tearing it.
"What’s going on? Is this chair meant for sitting? You should’ve checked it thoroughly!" Lin Xi loudly criticized, drawing even more attention.
The waiter immediately apologized: "I’m really sorry. It was an accident."
"An accident..." Lin Xi wore an unsatisfied expression, then added with more emphasis: "I had only just sat down when you spilled a drink all over me and ripped my dress! It’s a designer brand and very expensive. What are you going to do about it?"
"This..." The waiter looked troubled. The manager then approached and again apologized sincerely to Lin Xi.
