Chapter 147: The First Confrontation
Without wasting any time, Leng Le wanted Hai to stop Su Hui, so she could free her hands to deal with Gu Fan. Leng Le was confident her skills were enough to knock Gu Fan’s teeth out.
However, Su Hui went on the offensive, picking a fight with the towering Hai to test his skills and to confirm her earlier guess that he was the one they had encountered before.
And so, Leng Le and Gu Fan found themselves locked in a staring game. Dressed in a black tight-fitting leather outfit, with a ponytail, a face mask, and in dim light, Leng Le was unrecognizable to Gu Fan.
Leng Le didn’t want to bother with the niceties of asking him to surrender. She knew talking was useless, so she made her move instead, rushing forward and unleashing a series of swift and powerful Taekwondo kicks.
"Oh my god, she’s brutal," Gu Fan grunted, retreating hastily after blocking a kick that caused considerable pain.
Spotting an opening as Gu Fan stumbled back, Leng Le launched a flying assault, her knee smashing forward with great momentum. One look was enough to understand the strength behind her attack.
Gu Fan blocked Leng Le’s knee strike with his crossed arms, only to receive a solid elbow strike from her right on his cheek. Pain immediately shot through his face.
Rocked by the hit, Gu Fan was shaky and vulnerable. Seizing the opportunity, Leng Le threw another punch, not wasting any chances to inflict heavy damage on him.
Gu Fan managed to lay flat on the ground, trapping Leng Le’s leg between his own, and pulling it in tight. Leng Le wobbled, unable to maintain her balance and was about to topple over.
"Nice one, kid, but you’re still no match for me," Leng Le retorted, twisting her body and falling with Gu Fan, her elbow aimed right at him.
This spelled trouble for Gu Fan, who narrowly escaped the attack by rolling away. No sooner had he got up than he saw Leng Le’s kick coming his way. The kick sent him sprawling all over again, leaving him with a stabbing pain in his chest.
