Yu Ji-hyeok came back about ten minutes after he'd slipped into the shadow.
"It's a trap. There's nothing down there."
That was the first thing he said as he emerged from the shadow, which had rippled with no warning.
"There were undead packed all the way through with poison built into their bodies, and the further in I went, the thicker the toxic air got. On top of that, the layout was a maze, and everything was a dead end. Just like Hyun-woo said — a trap designed to seal us in and dry us out. And what we're looking for… isn't there."
"So what do we do? We can't just leave it like this."
"We burn it. Su-yeong, you can dial something that big in, can't you?"
Han Su-yeong shook her head at Choi Hyun-woo's offhand suggestion.
"That won't work. We don't even know the scale of it down there, and if I bring enough firepower to melt undead, we get caught in it too."
