Chapter 96 - 3 Selection
Zheng Fa had never imagined he would see Zhang in such a state—
When he walked towards the backyard of Zhang’s home, the first thing he heard was a rumbling sound.
Looking up, he discovered a white, ribbon-like waterfall cascading from the cliffs of the ninth Jiushan, plummeting down into the backyard of Zhang’s home.
Indeed, as soon as he entered the backyard gate, he was met with waves of cool mist.
Beneath the waterfall was a small lake, spanning over half an acre, with a pavilion on its bank.
Zhang was sitting on the steps in front of the pavilion, her plain skirt slightly lifted to her ankles, her bare jade feet shimmering in the water.
A bit charming, yet also a bit troubling...
The waterfall was probably formed from the snowmelt of Jiushan, and even at a distance, Zheng Fa could faintly feel the icy coldness of the lake water.
Inside the pavilion was another person, a girl about fifteen or sixteen years old, with a slightly round face. She had been idly watching Zhang play with the water but her eyes lit up when she saw him enter, and she called out to Zhang, "Someone is here!"
Zheng Fa stepped forward and greeted Zhang with a bow, "Sister Zhang."
After that, he turned to the girl beside him and asked, "May I know how to address this sister?"
