Chapter 96 - 93 If You Don’t Drink, Things Don’t Get Done
Lette was scheduled to meet with the envoy from the Elf Empire at his own house.
He planned to take advantage of breakfast to complete this meeting, thus maximizing time efficiency.
Since the kitchen was still under repair, Lette had breakfast brought over early from the Holy Rose Manor. When the elf envoy, Sofia Edmin, arrived, the food was still hot.
Three years apart, time had hardly left a mark on this female elf’s face.
She remained graceful and elegant, her golden curls paired with the refined features characteristic of elves, which was already captivating. Her curvaceous figure was still quite alluring.
After some pleasantries, they sat down to eat. The diet of the Elf Clan tends to be light, and Sofia found it somewhat hard to adjust.
"Why isn’t Mr. Wright making breakfast himself this time?"
"A couple of days ago, my kitchen was attacked by unknown terrorists, and it hasn’t been fixed yet..."
Sofia chuckled softly, "Mr. Lette, you’re so humorous. Someone dared to attack your manor in this Holy City?"
"Why not? There was even an assassination attempt on the Pope a few days ago."
Lette placed lettuce leaves between slices of bread, added two strips of bacon, spread some salad dressing, covered it with another piece of bread, and took a big bite.
