After Lette and Taylor parted ways at the intersection, Lette escorted Lilith and the other two back to the manor.
He did not stay at home but went straight to the headquarters of the Chamber of Commerce on the commercial street.
In the conference room on the second floor, the remaining Holy Temple Members and permanent directors had been waiting the whole morning.
Sitting at the head of the table, Grandet and the minstrel Idelos chatted idly, seemingly very relaxed.
But the others around the conference table didn’t share this sentiment.
Each sat upright with intense focus, though the room was comfortable, some were drenched in sweat, with beads of sweat falling like peas; others were shivering as if they had caught a chill.
Finally, just as a few were about to break down, Lette arrived in the conference room.
"I apologize to everyone for being late. Today, a Holy Knight Order, returning from a four-year mission abroad, arrived, and I helped them arrange accommodation.
So, have you all figured things out by now?"
Grandet and Idelos quickly made room for Lette to sit down and then stood on either side of him.
